The BALDER​ windlass offers a particularly practical Free-Fall technique and auto stop feature, separate auto stop kit T1 is required (sold separately, item number: 60751). The automatic free fall system applied to the windlass allows free running of the rope through the gypsy when lowering the anchor; simply by pressing the down control button, the windlass will release its clutch and the gypsy will free fall. To stop the Free-Fall, depress the control button on the windlass to engage the clutch and stop the gypsy, allowing retrieval of the rope. The Free-Fall function can be bypassed to facilitate power controlled release.
The BALDER is suitable for 12, 14, and 16 mm ropes. The motor can be mounted in different positions, each in 45° rotation. Thus, it also fits to places where no other windlass split can be mounted.
This windlass is available in three sizes, each in 12V (24V available on request):
  • BALDER 600: motor power: 12 V / 600 W, max working load: 200 kg, max. speed: 25-28 m/min (82-91 ft/min), weight: 9 kg
  • BALDER 900: motor power: 12 V / 900 W, max. working load: 320 kg, max. speed: 22-25 m/min (72-82 ft/min), weight: 14.6 kg
  • BALDER 1200: motor power: 12 V / 1200 W, max. working load: 420 kg, max. speed: 28-30 m/min (91-98 ft/min), weight: 19.2 kg
